so, therewas excellence tobe seen inbothof the newest
series, Benary’sAdmire andFlorensis’ Bel Viso.
Looking at special colours, among the ones I thought
most worth amentionon the 7thMarchwereDeltini
CVWWeYfield /eT.eUe[iJs» CVYiUa ;eYYaJV[[a 9VJR`
Tangerine, and in theSorbet XP seriesOrangeDeep and
Denim JumpUp. Takii’s Floral Power Pink LemonLip is
surely high in the list for colour appeal tomany female
customers.
JumpUp varieties are consistently popular and JumpUp
mixtures proved themost popular in the sales of combo’s
inbowls, saidMichael Smith. Thedesignermixtures
Sorbet Halloween andAdmireSpringFlingmovedout
very readily, too.
The retail Festival dateswere 17th to25thMarch. There
canbe nodoubt that a viewingduring this period, around
twoweeks later than the trade visitors’ days, 7-8thMarch,
would haveproduceddifferences in anyone’s lists of
particularlywell performing varieties.
Pansies
Of the almost three hundredpansy varieties in this year’s
Festival trial,most were showing little colour or none at
all on the viewingdates for trade visitors. Any kindof
